Grave Tending
Each grave tending by Still Remembered is carried out in a very dignified, caring and respectful way giving you total peace of mind in knowing that there will always be someone there to help keep your loved ones final resting place in the way their memory deserves.
Grave Tending Actions
- Trimming of long grass around and in front of the headstone and also the edges of the grave
- Removal of all weeds by hand
- Seeding of any bare soil around the grave area with lawn seed where appropriate
- Removal of all dead plants, flowers, old decorations, fallen leaves and general litter
- Light pruning of any heathers, shrubs or small trees where required
- Light wash of the headstone or memorial to remove any surface moss, algae, dirt or bird droppings, followed by a polish with a soft clean cloth to enhance the appearance
- Thorough wash out of memorial pot liners and a polish of the lid with a soft cloth
- Replenish of grave vase with freshly cut seasonal flowers or artificial flowers where requested by customer
- Supply of a full written report and also a digital photograph once the work has been fully completed (this can either be emailed or posted as preferred)

- Planting of spring flowering bulbs
- Planting of small shrubs/heathers/conifers
- Adding of top soil and compost
- Turfing work
- Kerb edging set replacement or renewal
- stone/pebble/slate chippings layed or renewed
We have been asked by a number of our existing customers who have no remaining family whether we would be willing to offer a service of continuing grave care for a designated period of time after their own passing.
